Methodology
Approach

RNIHT - Icon White - Firefly.png

Rwanda Skating Federation has launched the RNIHT Program initiative “at a higher level” (corporate, national, and global) - allowing Rwanda Skating Federation and RNIHT to set a clear direction and have it adapted and executed locally with consistency and scale.

Our main reason for this approach is a unified vision and strategy. Having a central launch sets the overall goals, messaging, and standards, so every local unit understands the same big picture and doesn’t pull in different directions. Related to the RNIHT brand consistency and transparency - starting at the top (higher level) helps protect the brand’s look, feel, and promises, so individuals have a similar experience in different locations, communities or markets.

Efficiency and Economies of Scale: It’s often cheaper and faster to design programs, tools, and campaigns once at a central level and then roll them out, instead of each local team reinventing the wheel.

Better Coordination and Control: A higher-level launch lets leadership coordinate timing, budgets, and resources, and monitor performance more easily.

Faster Scaling of What Works: When a new product, process, or policy is proven, launching it from the top helps it spread quickly across many locations instead of growing slowly one local site at a time.

Local Adaptation: Even with a top-level launch, local teams usually tailor the initiative to their market’s culture, regulations, and customer preferences, which makes it more effective on the ground.

Use of Local Relationships: Local teams have community ties and customer relationships that the central organization can’t replicate, so the local level is where the strategy really becomes concrete actions and results.

Feedback Loop Upward: As local units implement, they send back data and feedback, which the higher level can use to refine or adjust the overall approach, creating an ongoing ripple effect both down and up.

In short, the Rwanda Skating Federation has launched RNIHT (and hockey program) so it may define and scale a coherent strategy, relying on local levels to adapt, deliver, and improve it where adaptations actually are.
